Why We Started Rally Higher

For anyone living with or loving someone with diabetes, the fear around low blood sugar

episodes is constant. I’ve lived that feeling, as a daughter.

I know what it’s like to watch someone you love go pale, shaky, and confused, and not know what to do or how long it will take to feel okay again. Lows affect the whole family. The middle-of-the-night wake-ups. The frantic search for snacks. The silent prayers that she’ll bounce back quickly.

Those moments lit a fire in me. I wanted to create something better, not just for my mom, but for others facing the same challenges. For years, many have turned to glucose products that are outdated: chalky tablets, sticky gels, sugary drinks. In moments when thinking clearly is difficult, or when you’re in public, on the move, or helping someone else, ease of use matters. And so does timing.

So I created Rally Higher.

Rally was built to support people in those difficult moments. It’s a brand rooted in lived experience and shaped by science. Our first product, Glucose Melts, is designed for convenience, portability, and quick access. They don't require chewing or water and fit easily into everyday life. Whether you’re managing a low yourself or stepping in to help someone you care about.

But Rally is more than just a product. It’s a mindset. A movement. A community.

We chose the name “Rally Higher” because that’s what this is, a call to come together to rise above. To support each other. To champion better tools and solutions for people with diabetes and their loved ones. To make managing blood sugar feel a little less isolating and a lot more supported.

We’re getting ready to launch Glucose Melts through a community-powered Kickstarter campaign, and that’s where you come in.
